The Last Day
by David Heulfryn
It was time to leave Cockaigne. Owen and Lily dressed while the boys dried themselves after coming in from the lake. Finn wanted to stay naked and just slipped on his trainers. He asked Max if he was going to do the same. Lily told them that if they were going to sit naked in the back seat of the car, they needed a towel or a blanket to cover themselves up if they needed to.
Max was a little apprehensive but agreed, and now they were sat together, naked. Finn was tired and snuggled up to Max. He was asleep before they saw the sign indicating they were leaving Cockaigne. Max wrapped his arm around Finn and held him close. Max rested his head against the window. The rhythmic rumble of the tyres on the road sent him asleep.
“It’s been a lovely long weekend, Owen.” Lily squeezed his thigh.
“It’s been great. I enjoyed it so much, and I can’t remember the last time I spent some quality time with the boys. I should do it more often.”
“I think Max really appreciated it. He needs a positive male role model. Also, I never really realised how much the boys need each other. They are so close. Much closer than they have ever been. They look so cute on the back seat.”
“Has he let on what he’s thinking yet?” Owen asked.
“Not to me. I take it he’s said nothing to you. I wonder if he’s talked to Finn.”
“I suspect Finn will know before us.” Lily smiled.
“They’re back at school in the morning. Do we talk about it tonight?” Owen asked.
“I think we should wait for Max to bring it up. We don’t want him to feel like we’re pressurising him. I also suspect he’ll want to talk to James before he talks to us. Have you thought about how it would work for them?”
“Apart from me taking them to see each other every weekend, not really. But I won’t mind. It’s the least I could do for him if he decides to move.”
“You’re a good Dad.” Lily smiled.
“I am now. I feel I have let them down earlier in their lives. I wasn’t there and never really talked to them about anything important. It’s since working in Cockaigne I have come to realise how important it is to talk to the boys about their bodies, their feelings, their sexuality and also sex. We left all that embarrassing talk to the school. I wish I could have spoken to them about it earlier.”
“I know, Owen. I feel bad as well. I was never really open, and I think I suppressed the boys.”
“Let’s not dwell on the past, Lily. We have the rest of our lives to make it up to them. I think us both being naked this weekend has helped them.”
“I do too. It took a lot for me to be naked, but I found it liberating after I got used to it. It also helped to be around others who were also naked.”
“So, will you go naked at home?” Owen asked.
“I don’t think so, not like Finn does. But I will be more open in the bathroom and bedroom and won’t cover up if the boys are around.”
“I think you’re right, Lily. Besides, you like seeing me naked. We’ve had more sex in the last month than in the last ten years.”
Lily slapped Owen’s leg, “Don’t exaggerate.”
Owen laughed. “I can’t wait to get home.” He winked at Lily.
“Neither can I. I have the unpacking and washing to do and ensure they have clean uniforms for the morning. If you’re thinking of getting horny, you’d better think twice.” Lily paused, “Unless you help me with the chores.”
“Deal!” Owen grinned.
Lily reached over and placed her hand on Owen’s crotch. She could feel his cock harden. Owen flinched and swerved the car.
“Leave it alone. We’re not in Cockaigne now.”
“Pity.” Lily removed her hand and smiled at Owen.
Max stirred as the car pulled into the driveway. He looked down at Finn, still resting his head against his chest. Max gently rocked Finn to wake him.
“Wake up, Min. We’re home.” Max stroked Finn’s hair. It felt soft and silky.
Finn squirmed and sat up.
Lily turned to the boys, “I’ll go and open the door. You two dash in so no one sees you. Don’t worry about the bags. Your Dad and I will bring them in. It’s then up to you if you get dressed or not.”
Finn wasn’t one for hiding himself, so he didn’t dash in. He casually went to the boot of the car, grabbed his backpack and sauntered into the house. Owen and Lily looked at each and smiled at how brazen Finn was.
Max checked the street before he got out of the car. He went inside and joined Finn in their bedroom.
“It feels strange to be home,” Finn said.
“Why? You don’t have to put any clothes on. Mum and Dad are okay with you being naked in the house.” Max told his brother.
“I know. But it’s not the same if I’m on my own, and I doubt Mum and Dad will go naked.” Finn smiled at Max, “That only leaves you.”
“No chance.” Max grabbed some clean briefs from a draw and pulled them on. “I’m hoping they’ll let me see James. It’s still early.”
“Argh!” Finn pouted and sat on his bed. “What are you going to tell him?”
Max adjusted himself in his tight briefs, “I just want to talk things through with him and make sure he will support my decision.”
“I know it’s a silly question because I know he will support you. But what if he doesn’t?”
“Then we stay. I know it’ll be selfish of me, but that’s how I feel. I don’t want to give him up.”
“Sometimes you need to be selfish, Max. But I know James will be okay with and I know it’ll bring you even closer together. Moving to Cockaigne won’t mean you have to give him up.”
Max laughed, “You’re full of shit, Min.”
“Just wait and see, and I’ll make you eat those words.” Finn shot back. “It’s going to make your relationship stronger.”
Max finished dressing and found his mother coming up the stairs struggling with a heavy suitcase. “Let me help you, Mum.” He took the suitcase from her, entered her bedroom, and placed it on the bed.
“Can you open it for me, Dear,” Lily asked, and Max did as he was told.
“Mum?” Max started, unsure of himself. “Can I go and see James?”
Lily thought for a moment as Owen came in with their others bags. “I’m not sure, Honey. You have school tomorrow, and we still need to get your stuff ready. I’ve not had a chance to wash your uniform yet from last week. And you need to get your books sorted.”
“It won’t take me long, Mum. And I’ve not seen him all weekend.”
“Go and get your bag ready for school and then come back.” Owen interrupted. Max smiled and disappeared back into his bedroom. Owen then lowered his voice as he spoke to Lily. “I think we should let him go. He’s had a lot to think about from this weekend, and it’ll do him good to talk to James while it’s still fresh in his mind.”
“I suppose so.” Lily conceded. “I just thought they might be overtired and need an early night for school tomorrow. I’ve not even asked them about homework. With today being a bank holiday, I thought they might be given extra homework.”
“If they haven’t done it and they get into trouble, then it’s their fault. They need to take responsibility for doing what is expected of them.”
“I know.” Lily hugged Owen, “I just have the feeling that after today everything is going to change.”
“And does that scare you or make you happy?” Owen held his wife.
“Mostly happy. But I need to get on, or I’ll never get anything done.” Lily broke the hug and grabbed the bag of dirty washing from the suitcase and the dirty linen hamper from the corner of the bedroom. “I’ll start the washing. You unpack and put the clothes away. Neatly!” She said firmly.
“Yes, Dear,” Owen said and started to unpack.
Lily went into the boys’ bedroom and told them to bring their uniforms downstairs so she could wash them.
Finn rummaged through their dirty linen and pulled out their shirts and trousers. Lily was going downstairs as Finn shouted, “Do you want our pants as well.”
“Yes, please.” She called back.
Finn then pulled out his and Max’s white briefs from the dirty linen basket. “I should get extra pocket money for handling your dirty pants.” Finn laughed.
“I don’t see why.” Max chuckled, “You love touching my dirty pants.” Before he could relax, Max found a pair of dirty underpants flying towards him, landing on his face. He grabbed them and looked at them, “Eugh! Min! These are your filthy things.”
Finn giggled, “I know.”
Max chucked them back. Finn caught them and took the dirty washing downstairs to his mother.
“Thanks, Finn.” Lily took the clothes from Finn and crouched down to load the washer. She put their school trousers in first with the other darks. The white shirts and briefs would be part of the second load. Lily closed the washing machine door and set it running. Finn was still standing with her. She looked up at his naked body. She smiled at how unembarrassed he was. Lily rose to her feet. “Has Max mentioned anything to you about this weekend?”
“We have talked. I think he’s enjoyed himself.” Finn told her.
“Do you think he wants to move there?” Lily asked.
“I think that’s for Max to say. He’s worried about what would happen between him and James if he moves.”
“He needs to do what’s best for him, Finn. Not James.” Lily was talking to Finn like an adult. Their family relationships were genuinely evolving.
“He is. I know he is. But James is a big part of his life at the moment. They are really close, and it’s not some teenage fling. What they have is different than what I see with the other boys at school with their girlfriends.”
“I think I can see that.” Lily hugged Finn. “Now tell me, Finn. Do you ever intend to get dressed?”
Finn giggled, “Not until I go to school tomorrow.”
“That’s my boy.” Lily ruffled his hair.
Owen appeared in the doorway.
“Like father, like son,” Lily commented as she saw he was naked. She noticed his cock was thicker than usual, but he wasn’t hard.
Finn turned to look at his Dad. He hugged him, pressing his head against the light fur on his chest. Finn still had much growing to do as his head only reached his father’s chin. Owen rested his chin on his son’s son’s head and wrapped his arms around him.
“I love you, Dad,” Finn said.
“What about me?” Lily laughed.
Finn released his father and hugged his mother. “I love you, Mum.”
“I’ve told Max he can go and see James. He’s on his way now. I’ve told him to be back early. He wasn’t happy, saying his curfew was 9pm. But I told him we’d had a busy weekend, and an extra hour of sleep would do him good.” Owen said.
Finn stopped hugging his mother and grabbed his father’s hand. “Come on, Dad. Let’s go into the living room. I want to know everything you know about Cockaigne. Can I stay naked all the time, even in school?”
Owen was dragged along by Finn. “I don’t know. But I can ask when I go to work tomorrow.”
“Good,” Finn said. “Ask about how gay kids are treated? Are they accepted, or do they need to stay in the closet?” Finn was giving his Dad an interrogation about the town. He wanted to know more than he had found out already.
“Look, Finn.” Owen sighed, “If we decide to move, it’s not going to happen straight away. It’ll take time to find a house and sell this little place. I will do what I can to answer any questions, but it will be a learning experience for all of us. I’ll ask tomorrow. I’ll also see if I can find people who can answer all your questions.”
“Thanks, Dad.” They sat on the sofa, and Finn snuggled up to his Dad. He rested his head on his father’s chest as his father wrapped his arms around Finn’s shoulder. “You’re warmer than Max. I hope you stay naked more often, as I’m going to enjoy snuggling up to you.”
“You are one in a million, Finn. It’s no wonder you and Max are so close. I hope we can become closer, Finn. I love you, you know.”
“I know, Dad, and I love you.”

Thanks for the update. Now we know Max likes Cockaigne there are some decisions to be made. I liked you added the part where Owen took some time to be with Fin. Great they are comfortable enough to now hang out together in the nude.
